About Dr. Davidson

I am a California licensed clinical psychologist (PSY27728) specializing in the treatment of anxiety and stress. I have worked in a variety of settings, including hospitals, university counseling centers, and the Department of Veterans Affairs.

In terms of my professional background, I completed my undergraduate degree at Harvard College and then worked for 10+ years as a Web developer before returning to school to study clinical psychology. I completed my doctorate at the PGSP-Stanford Psy.D. Consortium, a pre-doctoral internship at University of Colorado at Boulder, and a post-doctoral residency at Kaiser Permanente. I served as a staff psychologist and clinical supervisor at Kaiser through 2019, where I trained post-doctoral fellows and led the eating disorders treatment program.

I have extensive training and experience in the treatment of stress and anxiety disorders, including social anxiety, worry that is difficult to control, post-traumatic stress, and OCD. I also have expertise in the treatment of depression, grief/loss, eating disorders, relationship concerns, and life transitions. Given my own career transition, I enjoy working with individuals who are considering a job change or shift.

I am a California native, and though I lived on the East Coast for many years, I feel grateful to have returned home to the Bay Area. I love spending time in nature and enjoy gardening, music, and reading. Like my clients, I have experienced the full range of joys and sorrows that life can bring, and appreciate the challenges and insights that can come with being human.
